William Murdoch Primary School endeavours to provide the best education possible for all of its pupils in an open and transparent environment.  We welcome any feedback that we receive from parents, pupils and third parties, and we accept that not all of this will be positive. Where concerns are raised the school intends for these to be dealt with:  In order to do so, the Governing Body of William Murdoch Primary School has approved the procedure published below which explains what you should do if you have any concerns about the school.

Most complaints can be dealt with at the informal level.  Please endeavour to speak to the class teacher in the first instance.  If you are still not satisfied please do not hesitate to contact the school on 0121 554 0999 to discuss your concerns further.  Your concern or complaint will be raised with a senior member of staff and someone will be in contact to discuss the matter.

Arrangements for handling complaints from parents of children with special educational needs (SEN) about the support the school provides

In the first instance, please contact the SENCo (Miss Buchray) to outline your complaint. If you feel that your complaint has not been resolved satisfactorily, please follow the guidance in the Complaints Policy.

Parents can be signposted to SENDIASS (parent support agency) for support.

The SEN Code of Practice outlines additional measures the Local Authority must set up for preventing and resolving disagreements. Parents/carers will be given the necessary information upon request.
